Key Deliverables:
-
Coordinate loading of enterprise logs,
pressure, temperature and injection profile surveys,
stratigraphic columns, well-bore marker picks and well core
analyses
-
Work with vendors to improve data delivery
process, ensuring highest possible quality and lowest possible
cycle times
-
Identify and correct data errors prior to
loading
Roles and Responsibilities:
-
Monitor and champion the log QC and QA
processes for both open and cased-hole logging activities,
including making sure the processes are consistent and clear in
grading schemes, metrics, and communications with the vendors,
as well as updating and generating appropriate documentation.
Back up open and cased hole log data loader.

Define and standardize enterprise mud log
data standards and data entry processes, including management of
job request forms, data presentations, digital data loading
processes, quality control processes, OpenWorks curve names and
units of measurement
-
Load mud log data as needed to enterprise
systems
-
Set standards for incoming core analysis
data, QC of core analysis data, and monitoring and maintain the
loading of core analysis data to enterprise systems. This may
include loading of core analysis data to enterprise systems as
needed
-
Perform special mud log and e-log analysis
and/or data cleanup projects on an as-requested basis

Administer Schlumberger InterACT account
-
Maintain the online well logging information
library
-
Maintain the enterprise log curve dictionary
-
Support Schlumberger software log data
management utilities as required
Critical Skills/Experience:
-
Knowledge and experience with log
acquisition, log QC, log applications, mud logging practices and
applications, core data practices and applications
-
Experience with various computer operating
systems and software
-
Experience with data quality principles and
practices
-
Strong organizational skills
Experience/Business Accomplishments:
-
10 years similar industry experience
-
Bachelor’s degree (geoscience or petroleum
engineering or related degree preferred)
-
Knowledge of logging tools for a variety of
vendors
-
Experience with mud log and core acquisition
and analysis/interpretation
-
Understanding of field data acquisition
methods
-
Understanding of principles of measurement
-
Understanding of physics/mechanics of tool
operations
-
Experience with Landmark Graphics OpenWorks
Suite of data loading and data management tools
-
Experience with data quality principles and
practices
-
Ability to work effectively in a
self-directed manner and in team settings
-
Excellent communication, organization and
tine management skills
-
