Facilities Engineer – Midway Sunset

Roles and Responsibilities:
-
Provide engineering support to
enable process team customers to achieve business plans goals
-
Perform facilities surveillance,
process and equipment improvement studies
-
Scope, design, budget and implement
field improvement projects and facilities consolidations
-
Manage capital program and projects
consistent with Aera project management guidelines
-
Achieve strong relationships and
effective communications with process team customers and
supplier base
-
Provide engineering analysis that
supports continued development of chemical and mechanical
integrity programs, standard operating procedures, and
preventative maintenance practices
-
Provide technical support to
mitigate EHS risks; participate and utilize process safety
information, process hazards analyses, pre-startup safety
reviews, and safe work processes.

Lead root-cause failure analyses to
eliminate defects and improve equipment and process reliability
Critical Skills
and Knowledge:
-
Heat transfer, fluid mechanics,
fluid separation, piping, controls, measurement
-
Surface facility design; surface
equipment design and optimization
-
Customer relationships; alignment
and influence
-
Economic analysis of projects;
business acumen
-
PHA and failure analysis
-
Project management; scope, design,
budgeting, and cost control
-
Field operations experience;
materials and equipment application; industry codes and
regulatory standards
-
Understanding of TPR, human factors
engineering, maintenance prevention, and early equipment
management principles
-
Able to prioritize and provide
tangible recommendations to operating and contract personnel.

Good verbal and written
communication skills. Able to prepare effective specifications
and plans.

Familiarity with and/or interest in
continuous improvement, business process improvement, and lean
concepts.
Experience/Business Accomplishments Required:
-
Desired 5+ years of facilities
engineering experience
-
Knowledgeable of oil producing
operations (including processes and equipment)
-
Bachelors degree in engineering
discipline
