Coalinga Operations

The Coalinga operations of Aera Energy LLC cover approximately 15 square miles in Fresno County about 9 miles northwest of the City of Coalinga, just west of Interstate 5. Aera's Coalinga unit produces approximately 7,200 barrels of heavy crude oil per day. Crude oil is transported to Martinez, Calif., where it is refined.

In the community, Aera is a longtime supporter of United Way, the R.C. Baker Museum, and local youth activities and schools. Annually Aera awards two college scholarships to graduates of Coalinga High School.

Aera and its predecessor companies have been producing heavy crude oil in Coalinga since 1913.
