Louise Lampara, Aera’s environmental advisor in Ventura, was recently selected as an editor’s choice for one of the Top 50 businesswomen on the central coast by the Pacific Coast Business Times (PCBT). The designation acknowledges 50 women in the tri-county area for their achievements in their various fields.
“Women in general bring amazing attributes to business. We are unique in that we have the ability to think creatively, collaborate, and challenge the status quo in distinctive ways,” said Michele Newell, Aera’s public affairs representative in Ventura. “At Aera the majority of our senior leadership team are women, led by our President and CEO Christina Sistrunk. Because of them we are positioned for the future equity imperative of the workforce as much or maybe more so than many other companies in the state.”
Lampara is responsible for ensuring Aera’s compliance with all non-air related environmental permits and regulations (stormwater, hazardous waste, endangered species, wildlife protection, streambed protection, etc.).
“We are proud to have colleagues like Louise who work hard and embody the same dedication to the environment that Aera does,” said Will Spear, Aera’s manager of operations for Ventura. “Every day we work together to find ways to operate our business while protecting and even enhancing the environment on and around Aera’s property. Louise has been a true leader in our efforts, so it’s no wonder the community sees what we see in Louise and is recognizing her for her work.”
“People here in Ventura truly see themselves as stewards of this amazing property and they treat it with respect and care,” said Lampara. “I also enjoy getting to work on a wide variety of challenging issues – there has been lots of opportunity to learn new skills.”
Safe operations and environmental leadership are two of our company’s primary goals. We are proud of all the Aera Ventura employees and contractors who have risen to the challenge of protecting the communities and conducting operations in an environmentally responsible manner.
