Experience Energy, the leading resource for diverse talent, careers, and culture in the energy industry, has announced that Aera Energy is among the finalists in the annual GRIT Awards and Best Energy Workplaces.
Aera is in the running in three categories:
- Best Workplaces – added in 2019 to recognize energy employers of choice
- Team – for Aera’s LGBT+Allies employee resource group
- Individual – Emily Fisher, Aera geologist
Winners are selected through a blind application review by six external judges and will be announced at a global forum in Houston Oct. 10, 2019. The event will be broadcast live to energy-related audiences nationwide.
The GRIT Awards are sponsored by Medallia and Gapingvoid. They were created to recognize women leaders in energy, and the men who advocate for their progress. Nearly 200 nominations poured in from across the world from oil and gas, utilities, and alternative energy companies, academia and non-government organizations.
Best Energy Workplaces were added in 2019 with the aim of recognizing energy employers of choice.
“We believe it’s important to recognize those who embrace growth and innovation as the industry undergoes a massive transformation,” said Katie Mehnert, founder and CEO of Experience Energy, a division of Pink Petro. “It is time the energy industry and our people socialize the great work we do in service for modern society.”
