As part of the annual community-building campaign known as National Night Out, Aera employees handed out 600 reusable water bottles Aug. 6 in Coalinga.
The nationwide event promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Attendees interact with their neighbors, law enforcement and local businesses.
For Aera, the event is not only a chance to connect with the Coalinga community, communicate the everyday benefits of oil and gas, and relay job opportunities.
“It’s also an opportunity to prepare students for going back to school,” said Feleena Sutton, Aera’s public affairs representative in Coalinga. “Helping students to succeed raises the bar for everyone in this tight-knit community. In the hot valley sun, staying hydrated is key to a good education.”
Aera volunteers included Ed Patterson; Lisa Lester; Therese Santos; Josh Tow; Charlie Cox; Donna King; Dustin Ramsey; and Bob Hackworth.
