Aera Energy takes ninth place on 2022 Forbes America’s Best Midsize Employers List
Aera Energy is a three-time recipient of the Forbes America’s Midsize Employer List, placing ninth in the 2022 ranking and securing its spot in the top ten midsize companies to work for in the United States.
Aera’s current ranking builds on its rankings for 13th place in 2019 and 75th in 2018, showing its commitment to creating a culture of inclusion, innovation and exceptional care for people in which employees feel passionately engaged and empowered to make an impact. The oil and gas company employs about 1,050 employees and 1,600 contractors in Kern, Fresno, Monterey and Ventura counties. It ranked third among the 35 companies listed in the construction, oil & gas operations, mining and chemicals category and was top ranked among oil and gas production companies.

Forbes’ top midsize employers were selected based on the results of a series of independent and anonymous surveys conducted among 60,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 but no more than 5,000 employees. Surveyed employees were asked whether they would recommend their employer and about topics such as working conditions, professional development opportunities and compensation.
