The women’s mentoring group participated in the Pink Petro HERWorld Energy Forum, a virtual conference featuring a wide-range of speakers, including Christina Sistrunk. The forum, a global think-tank of energy professionals who care about the future of our industry, took place in Houston and was broadcast around the world. Sistrunk participated as a panel speaker on the issue of the gender gap and ways companies can collectively work together to close the gap.
Sistrunk was also featured in the national magazine “STEM Jobs,” which targets high school students and highlights STEM career opportunities. In conjunction with the magazine’s publication, Sistrunk spoke with students at Independence High School’s Energy and Utility Career Academy. She spoke about the importance of oil and gas, her career path and advice she wished she’d had when she was in high school.
