Newell, Pollard honored for their work in business community

Two members of Aera’s Public Affairs team have been recognized for their work in the business community.

Aera’s Michele Newell, left, and Cindy Pollard will be honored for their work in the business community.

Michele Newell will be honored for her work on the Central Coast at the Pacific Business Times Top 50 Women in Business event in Goleta on Thursday night. Newell, a public affairs specialist in  Ventura County, will be honored during a dinner at the Deckers Rotunda.

The annual event honors women in business from Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties. Newell will be featured in a special section of The Pacific Business Times newspaper.

Director of Public Affairs Cindy Pollard will be honored Friday night at the Kern County Black Chamber of Commerce’s 15th annual Gala and Board Installation at the Bakersfield Marriott. Pollard will be honored with the Distinguished Businesswoman Award for her longstanding contributions to the community.
