Everyone can support Aera & California’s petroleum industry. Here’s how:
Advocate
Get involved in your local community. Chamber of Commerce associations are great places to start. Many have governmental affairs councils that engage in issues important to business and the oil industry. Add your voice, experience and expertise to the discussion.
Be aware of regulations and proposed legislation. Write, call or visit your local or state representative to let them know how those impact you. Attend town hall and community meetings.
Join a coalition
Whether you join at the state or local level, you can participate on the industry’s behalf in public hearings on legislative and regulatory issues. You can also network with others who share a common interest.
- WSPA Associates
- Californians for Energy Independence (CEI)
- California Independent Petroleum Association
- Kern Citizens for Energy (Kern County region)
- Coastal Energy Alliance
- Monterey County for Energy Independence
Collaborate
Do you have a program, achievement or highlight you want to share? Do you serve on a community board or committee of an environmental nonprofit? We’d love to partner, share the good news and provide additional support for your endeavors.
