Aera Energy and Chevron team up to help renovate STEM classrooms and lab before Taft College students return to campus.
When students returned to classes at Taft College, they were welcomed back to campus with revitalized STEM and G-building classrooms, and an upgraded STEM lab.
Taft College upgraded the audiovisual equipment and integrated room control system in the STEM, with generous donations from Aera Energy and Chevron.
“I am extremely excited to invite back all our students to these wonderful advancements in our classroom technology,” said Debra Daniels, superintendent and president of Taft West Kern Community College District and Taft College.
“Our gratitude for the combined generous funding from Chevron and Aera Energy goes beyond what words can describe,” she continued. “Thank you! I feel humbled by your remarkable philanthropy toward our college.”
The Taft College Foundation will host a community celebration and tours of the upgraded labs on Sept. 29 at 2:30 p.m. at the Cougar Fountain Quad.
