What others are saying about Kern County’s fight for jobs

Extracting Fact, a publication of Californians for Energy Independence, highlights Kern County’s efforts to keep oil and gas jobs in California, as others continue to try to shut down production in our state.

In a recent Forbes column Michael Bernick, a former California Employment Development Department director and current Milken Institute fellow, writes about Kern County officials and their fight to keep “blue collar jobs and middle-class presence” in California.

Bernick notes the oil and gas industry supports more than 30,000 jobs in Kern County, with industry employees making more than $80,000 per year on average.
