Aimee Blaine leads the engineering, geoscience and land teams at Aera Energy, a position created in 2017 to leverage and integrate technology across all field assets.

Blaine’s responsibilities are part of Aera’s plan to create a strategic synergy for managing its large resource base and future growth opportunities.

Blaine previously served as vice president of engineering for the Belridge Asset, the fifth largest oilfield in the nation. She was responsible for reservoir development and recovery optimization and led Aera’s Development Design and Implementation Teams and Centers of Process Excellence.

Blaine joined Aera in 2000 as a reservoir engineer for the Midway Sunset Field. Her managerial roles began in 2002 as a technology manager for the West Coast Asset Heavy Oil reservoir team. She later led the Belridge Heavy Oil Recovery team.

From 1995 to 2000, she was employed by Mobil Oil as a drilling engineer. The Arkansas native holds a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University.

Blaine enjoys running, hiking, snow skiing and spending time with her family.
