Blaine joined Aera in 2000 as a reservoir engineer for the Midway Sunset Field. Her managerial roles began in 2002 as a technology manager for the West Coast Asset Heavy Oil reservoir team. She later led the Belridge Heavy Oil Recovery team.
From 1995 to 2000, she was employed by Mobil Oil as a drilling engineer. The Arkansas native holds a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University.
